Please join us at the opening of the Lyme Land Trust’s beautiful new Riverside Preserve. The Riverside Preserve is a 6-acre property that borders the newly restored portion of the Eightmile River by the former Ed Bill’s dam. Steve Gephard, CT DEEP Fisheries Biologist, will talk about the effect of Ed Bill’s dam removal on the health of the river ecosystem, including the migrating fish population that now has unrestricted passage to ancestral spawning areas.  The preserve was donated to the Lyme Land Trust by conservationist Barbara O. David.
