Join former CT State geologist Ralph Lewis on a hike through Gillette Castle State Park. Learn about the geological forces that shaped Southeastern Connecticut. He will explain how the movement of land masses millions of years ago and more recent glacier activity formed the topography of the CT River Valley in this section of Lyme.
The hike will be about two hours, moderately paced with generally easy terrain and a few short ups and downs. Sturdy shoes are a must; a walking stick would be helpful as well.
Space is limited. Register for the walk: education@lymelandtrust.org. Inclement weather will postpone the event.
