Next to the Grassy Hill Congregational Church, this open field and wetland area was a favorite scene for the Lyme Art Colony Artists. Guy Wiggin’s famous painting “Church on a Hill” was painted here in 1900 and is on display at the Lyman Allyn Art Museum in New London, CT
