Volunteer

The LLT depends upon volunteers to help attain our goals.

The Land Trust is fortunate to have broad support from the  community, but there is always more to be done.  Volunteers sit on the Board of Directors, they complete annual stewardship visits to each and every property and they work tirelessly to maintain trails and make sure our events run smoothly.

Volunteer Job Descriptions

Becoming a property monitor is a great way to help. Monitors perform a yearly (or more) inspection and report. They become the eyes and ears for each and every one of the Land Trust properties– both fee and easement.  Monitors have the opportunity to become familiar with a particular property, to ensure that the conservation values are protected and to serve as a resource for landowners and neighbors about the role of the Land Trust.  Learn more about becoming a Property Monitor.

Each year we honor a volunteer to receive a Volunteer of the Year award. View our past recipients here.
